40 x 40 x 10 glass-fibre sheet, wire, polyester (BREATHAIR®) 40 x 40 x 10 cm each 2022
An attempt to arrange the expressions of each material in the same size - 40 x 40 x 10 cm - with the characteristics of each material. Care is taken not to ignore the organic aspects of the human hand and senses, although the size is measured precisely. Colours are restricted and the subtle shading of each expression by light and shadow is brought into focus.
breath-length and gravity glass-fibre sheet, wood board, steel frame 88 x 38 x 4 cm each 2022
I cut the fibreglass sheet at a length I can cut in one breath with a cutter (37 cm) and at a width that should fit the frame just right, and place it in a horizontally placed frame.
The light, smooth and resistant fibreglass strips are inserted between the wooden board at the back and the fibreglass in front, and when placed against a vertical wall, they have a natural curve that appears due to the bending of the strips under the weight and gravity of each other. Its form expresses its relationship with the physical action of nature.
